In 2020 in partnership with my former employer I build a custom duplex to replace a 1918 bungalow on my own property.
About Me: I am a Red Seal Carpenter in Victoria, BC (lək̓ʷəŋən traditional territory). I apprenticed at a custom residential builder and worked my way up to site supervisor and project manager, a role I held for several years. I have a BSc. in Biochemistry and previously worked as a research assistant in a laboratory, working with RNA and DNA. I also coached and instructed sailing for many years, and competed internationally and attempted to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in the 470 sailboat. I am an amateur photographer and spend my spare time hiking with my dog.

I am an extremely organized and detail oriented person, who strives for excellence in everything I do. I love learning new things, teaching, coaching, and collaborating with others to come up with solutions to unique requests and challenges.

Through my work as a research scientist and construction project manager, I’ve seen firsthand how detailed planning and thoughtful coordination can significantly reduce delays and miscommunications throughout a project.
